Before an estimated crowd of 30\,000 pilgrims who had gathered in the Cova da Iria\, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared once again to the three shepherd children: Lucia\, Francisco\, and Jacinta. This apparition carried particular weight as Our Lady promised that in the following month\, October\, she would reveal her identity and perform a great miracle that all could witness. The growing crowds and intense scrutiny from both religious and civil authorities had not deterred the faithful\, who sensed they were witnessing something extraordinary that would echo through the ages. \nDuring this September encounter\, Our Lady continued to emphasize the central themes that would define the Fatima message: the necessity of prayer\, penance\, and devotion to her Immaculate Heart for the conversion of sinners and peace in the world. She specifically requested the daily recitation of the Rosary and reinforced her earlier calls for sacrificial love offered for the salvation of souls. The children reported that Mary appeared sad as she spoke of the many souls who fall into hell because no one prays or makes sacrifices for them. This maternal sorrow of the Mother of God serves as a profound reminder of the spiritual battle being waged for every human soul and the role that faithful Catholics are called to play in this cosmic drama of salvation. \nThe fifth apparition serves as a bridge between the initial revelations and the promised great miracle of October 13th\, which would become known as the Miracle of the Sun. Mary’s promise to perform a sign that all could see demonstrates Divine Providence’s desire to reach not only the hearts of the faithful but also to provide tangible evidence for those struggling with doubt. This apparition reminds us that God respects both faith and reason\, offering supernatural confirmation of His messages while never forcing belief. DESCRIPTION:The breakfast is hosted at the Fatima Shrine – 1023 Swann Rd\, in Lewiston\, NY\, where we tie our breakfast in with the Shrine’s first Saturday Devotion.  We will meet for an optional breakfast in the cafeteria at 9:00 AM.  The schedule is as follows and you can come to one or all the segments: \n9:00 AM – Breakfast (optional – $6.50+) \n9:30 – 10:30 – Guest Performer – Bob Hall \nBob is a veteran of the U.S. Army who taught Philosophy at Niagara University from 1977-2008.  Bob received his Ph.D in Philosophy from St. John’s University.  Bob is a member of the Knights of Columbus\, Trustee of Our Lady of Fatima Shrine\, and Commander of the C.C.
